Happy Monday! (Which looks like it will be my new doctor day, by the way - after this week.) If you saw the pictures on the opening page before you opened the journal, you see that the nursery is just about done! The painting and detailing was all done in the space of this weekend. Jonathan taped and got it prepped while I was at my class at the hospital Saturday morning. Then my Mommacita came to help ALL AFTERNOON! Between the three of us, we got an AWFUL lot done!

Then Johnna came down to spend Saturday night, and we got the rest of it done on Sunday. It made for a very long weekend, but it's awfully incredible to be this far done!

The icky thing is this: when we pulled back the carpet to do some of the edging, we discovered that it's far worse than we thought: we assumed it was just gross and dusty and stuff and could wait a while to change it if we hyper-good cleaned it. But there's black mold on the underside of the padding. So at an absolute minimum, we have to redo the carpet in the nursery, if not the whole house. And I don't even know how that WORKS! Ugh.

Anyway, let me know what you think of the nursery - I'm pretty impressed, but I might have a nasty bias...
