Introducing Gavriel "Gavi" Zakai Fashbaugh

Our newborn baby bundle of joy

Amanda came down with a case of Bell's palsy, which brought us into the ER on Friday night. Her blood pressure was also a little on the high side (a first for this pregnancy as compared to when she was pregnant with Caleb). Amanda's doctor decided that it was about time for Amanda to have this baby anyway and so Amanda was admitted to the Rose Medical Center labor and delivery department. The doctor broke Amanda's water at 11pm and Gavi was born at 3:51pm. No petosin needed! He was born 8lbs/10ounces, 21.5 inches long with beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes.

And now, without further adieu, here's Gavi Zakai Fashbaugh.

His eyes are a little gooey from anti-biotic salve, and he's a little swollen from his rough journey into the world, but other than that, isn't he beautiful!?

Older brother, Caleb Z is almost 2 years old.
Poor Caleb's world just got turned upside down in a major way.

As it turns out, CZ is a big fan of GZ.

This is a good picture of Amanda's Bell's palsy. The left side of her face is paralyzed so she's got a bit of a wonky smile and she has to wear an eye patch so that her eye doesn't dry out.
