Movie Reviews of Money Talks

by Jonathan and Amanda Fashbaugh

Jonathan's Review   Amanda's Review

This is classic Chris Tucker. If you like some of his other movies and haven't seen this one, you're sure to get a kick out of this because Tucker plays the same character in this movie. Money Talks debuts Chris Tucker's patented 8 year-old screaming girl impression.

Charlie Sheen is as forgettable in this movie as he is in all of his other films. I'm just not a Sheen fan, so maybe that's coloring my review a bit. I did enjoy his frustrated outburst in reaction to the clash of Franklin's street-wise style and Russell's yuppiness.

This movie is rated R, so be prepared for some foul language.

Okay, honestly? I just saw this movie like a week ago and have already lost any sense of what it was really about. Not a good sign. Chris Tucker does his best to annoy and entertain, Charlie Sheen plays the straight man relatively well, and Heather Locklear is certainly believable as a rich woman who wants to marry a good looking kid like Charlie.

And if what you're looking for is entertainment, relativity and good looking kids, let me recommend Clueless.

However, if you're looking for a "buddy comedy" without much between the buddies but schtick-full of schlocky street talk, then THIS is your movie!
